Jakarta – Plaza Senayan Jakarta witnessed when presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, attended a meeting of Erick Thohir Alumni Amerika Serikat (ETAS) volunteers on Monday (22/1). In that moment, Prabowo expressed his honor for being invited by Garibaldi Thohir, or known as Boy Thohir, in the midst of American alumni entrepreneurs from the 80s and 90s.
Prabowo, who was accompanied by figures such as Maruarar Sirait, Garibaldi Thohir, and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, expressed his joy and gratitude seeing strong support from the ETAS volunteers. The volunteers, around 120 people, have been fighting alongside Erick Thohir since the National Campaign Team (TKN) in 2019 and declared full support for the 02 Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 election.
“This is a great honor. I understand now, why I lost twice (in the presidential elections of 2014 and 2019) because I wasn’t invited here (with the American alumni) before,” said Prabowo with a smile, referring to the warm welcome from the ETAS volunteers.
The ETAS volunteers, mostly wearing light blue shirts as a form of support, have been fighting alongside Erick Thohir since TKN 2019. In their statement of support, they stated that Prabowo-Gibran is the best choice to lead Indonesia for the next five years.
“Not only from Indonesia, ETAS volunteers also came from various cities in the United States, from Boston to Los Angeles, from Washington to California, from Indiana to Florida. We are here to support you,” said Bernandino Moningka Vega, one of the attending alumni.
In the event, Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the immense trust and support from the ETAS volunteers.
“I am very grateful for the immense trust placed on my shoulders,” he said sincerely.
The full support from the American alumni gives additional strength to Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election. Prabowo reaffirmed his commitment to build a better Indonesia and urged all parties to unite for a common goal. (SENOPATI)
