Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have expressed their deep concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, arising from the ongoing Israeli military offensive. This shared concern was addressed during an official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) as part of Prabowo’s state visit to the Kingdom. Both countries have agreed to enhance coordination to provide emergency aid and broader humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.

A joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) highlighted the commitment of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia to continue offering humanitarian aid and support for recovery efforts in response to Israeli aggression. In addition to discussing the situation in Gaza, the two nations reiterated their determination to deepen cooperation to ensure international stability and security, with a focus on promoting regional peace and strengthening global resilience.

The meeting, held at Al-Salam Palace, underscored the strong strategic bonds between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, with images shared by SPA showing President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS engaged in discussions with the flags of both countries in the background. This commitment is in line with Indonesia’s consistent foreign policy of advocating for the Palestinian cause and engaging in humanitarian diplomacy on the global stage.
